My story
Austrélie is a creative workshop combining ceramics and textiles, where each piece is born from a slow gesture, an intimate rhythm, a deep connection with the material.
I work with stoneware and fabric as two complementary languages, one anchored, the other moving, to create unique objects, on the border between craftsmanship and artistic expression. My work explores the contrasts and harmonies between solid and flexible, mineral and textile, while maintaining a utilitarian dimension.
My pieces are designed to be integrated into everyday life, into tableware and household linens. I pay particular attention to both their beauty and functionality, always seeking to combine aesthetics and practicality. Raw earth, natural textures, organic volumes, hand-woven or crocheted fibers: each object becomes a faithful companion, designed to last and enrich everyday moments.
My name is Aurélie, and I create from my studio in France, driven by the need to work with my hands, to slow down, to create shapes that soothe and tell stories. My journey has been woven off the beaten track, between personal experimentation and patient learning. I have found in materials—earth and thread—a free and vibrant medium for expression.
Austrélie is an invitation to experience everyday life differently, to surround yourself with objects that carry meaning, made with care and intention.
